How OrbitCover pays you automatically
OrbitCover is parametric travel insurance. When your flight or baggage is delayed past the limit, we detect it and pay you, with no claim to file. Here is exactly how it works.
How OrbitCover works
There's nothing to do when things go wrong. You add your trip once, and we handle the rest automatically, from watching your flight to paying you out.
Once you're covered, just add your flight. That's the only step you take.
Takes under a minute.
We track it around the clock against live airline and airport data.
No app to check. No buttons to press.
If your flight or baggage is delayed past the limit, we verify it instantly.
No proof or receipts needed from you.
Your payout lands in your account in minutes, in your currency.
No claim. No paperwork. Just money.
Parametric insurance, explained
Traditional travel insurance pays out after you prove a loss. Parametric cover pays out the moment a delay is measured. Here is what that means for you.
What is parametric insurance?
Parametric insurance pays out a fixed, pre-agreed amount the moment a measurable event happens, like a flight delayed past a set number of hours. Instead of insuring your exact losses, it insures a trigger. When the trigger is met, you get paid.
How is it different from a regular travel claim?
A traditional claim asks you to prove what went wrong: forms, receipts, delay certificates, and weeks of review. Parametric cover removes all of that. The trigger is the proof, so there is nothing to file and nothing to chase.
How does OrbitCover know my flight is delayed?
We track your flight around the clock against live airline and airport data. When the data shows your flight or baggage is delayed past the limit on your cover, we confirm it automatically. You do not report anything.
How fast is the payout?
Once a delay is confirmed, your payout is sent to your account in minutes, not months. No queue, no adjuster, no back and forth.
What counts as a delay?
Each cover has a clear trigger, for example a flight delay of two hours or more, or a baggage delay of six hours or more. If your trip crosses that line, the payout fires. The exact triggers and amounts are set when you buy.
How do I get paid?
Payouts go to a verified account you set up: bank, UPI, or wallet depending on your region, in your local currency.
Get paid, don't file claims
Traditional travel insurance makes you chase a delay with forms and receipts. OrbitCover just pays you the moment it happens.

How does OrbitCover pay out so fast?
OrbitCover is parametric cover. Instead of reviewing a claim, we watch your flight and baggage against trusted data sources. The moment a covered delay is confirmed, the payout is triggered automatically and sent to your account, usually within minutes, with no claim to file.
Do I need to file a claim or upload documents?
No. There are no claim forms, boarding passes, or delay certificates to submit. OrbitCover detects the disruption for you and initiates the payout on its own. You just need your booking details on file.
Which currencies and countries does OrbitCover support?
OrbitCover is built for global travelers. Payouts can be issued in major currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, INR and more, to a local bank account, UPI, or supported wallet. Available markets and currencies expand as we roll out with our insurance partners.
What triggers a payout?
Each product has a clear, pre-defined trigger, for example a flight delayed beyond a set number of hours, or checked baggage that doesn't arrive on time. If the trigger condition is met and confirmed, you're paid. No interpretation, no negotiation.
Is OrbitCover real insurance?
Yes. OrbitCover products are underwritten by licensed insurance partners. We're currently in pre-launch, finalizing regulatory approvals and partners in our launch markets. Join the early access list to be covered first when we go live.
How much does it cost and how much do I get?
Pricing and payout amounts depend on your trip and the cover you choose, and are confirmed at purchase. The amounts shown on this page are illustrative ranges to give you a sense of scale across currencies.
How do I get paid?
Payouts go straight to the account you connect at purchase: a bank account, UPI ID, or supported digital wallet. As soon as a covered event is verified, the money is on its way.
